Pass & Totterdell work with letting agents and private landlords to provide safe and well maintained gas installations for their tenants.

All of our engineers are Gas Safe registered (formerly Corgi) and trained to the highest possible standards. We also provide ongoing training to keep them up to speed with the very latest safety issues and regulations to ensure we can offer the best quality service to our clients.

Pass & Totterdell will provide you with all of your Safety Certificates under one roof, saving you time and even more important saving you money. We offer generous discounts when clients order all 3 certificates at one time; Gas Safety; Periodic Electrical and PAT Testing. For safety purposes, we also supply CO detectors and smoke alarms.

What does a Landlord Gas Safety Inspection include?

  • Check appliance for gas tightness
  • Check standing and working pressures if test points are available
  • Check burner pressure/gas rate against manufacturers guidlelines
  • Check for satisfactory provision of all necessary ventilation
  • Test flue flow to ensure removal of products of combustion
  • Check satisfactory operation of all the flame failure devices
  • Check for physical stability, presence and effectiveness of stability brackets (where appropriate)
  • Investigate any evidence on unsafe operation and report to the person responsible.

Legionnaire's Disease Testing

Letting agents and landlords are obliged by law to carry out risk assessments for Legionnaire's Disease following improvements to the L8 code for Legionella Compliance, to demonstrate that water systems are clean and healthy. Pass & Totterdell engineers are all fully trained in Legionnaire's Disease detection and testing and if required can provide the remedial treatment where a risk is identified.
